Whenever we print the printer make some noise if there's no paper in the manual tray. Then it just stops. If we however load paper into the manual tray, then the printer prints from there.

Lexmark MS310dn inserting page numbers 6-1 fix.
Received a call from an employee stating Word was putting page numbers on all of her documents. She showed me the Word documents, and all of the pages did indeed have a number on them, but it was odd. The numbers would start at 6 and then count down to 1, and back to 6 and so fourth. Next I opened notepad and did a test page, same result. To rule out variables I sent the same test page to a different printer. The test page came out fine. I figured it must a driver issue. I replaced the driver and sent out another test page. The numbers were still appearing on the page. Next I updated the firmware, the numbering still occurred. Next I printed a printer self test page initiated from the printer, by holding down the center button. The numbered pages still appeared. Lexmark printers for business - good idea or bad idea? I am leaning towards bad.
Shame on me for not doing enough research on the x925de multifunction before we purchased it, but is it just me or are most of the following true about my Lexmark experience so far:
- Toner is super expensive and of low capacity.
- Perishable parts, other than toner, like a transfer module, are no where to be found on the web, even directly from their site. I have been on the phone with them for 75 minutes now trying to track it down.
- The x925de constantly wigs out, saying I am missing toner cartridges and can only be reset by reloading firmware which means 30 mins to an hour of downtime or calling a tech out to replace all toner and imaging units after vacuuming the sh*t out of it.
- Wait times when calling support are extremely long, waiting 15-30 mins on the average just to connect with someone. Resolution of issue usually adds on another 30...
Any Lexmark people here?
Any green tagged users here? I've been trying to find someone to talk to in your managed print division for a couple of months now with no luck. Your 800 number generates a "number has been disconnected" message, your web forms generate no responses, and even your support people can't find someone for me to talk to when they open up a ticket(!)
Have you guys given up on this market? Am I barking up the wrong tree? Do I even want to do business with someone whose pre-sales support is this bad? (what is your POST sales support going to look like?)
I'm not a huge account, but I've got a six figure check with someone in managed print's name on it and this is basically my last effort before I cross you off my bid list.

My company is looking to switch from our current printer provider (Kyocera based) and Lexmark is offering us a really sweet deal on these MX910de. Does anyone here have any experience on Lexmark direct service or this model printer? I am located within an area where I will receive service directly from Lexmark service technicians (not a third party). I am wondering about the quality of service and if they uphold the same/next day service? It is important to us that they meet this offer. This copier looks really small compared to our current hardware of matching specs, but the specs on it are the same or better. Is this too good to be true with their price, or am I getting a good comparable deal?

I am having trouble finding anything on this issue. When we scan a document to email the recipients are not being cleared. They keep adding to the recipient list.
I tried updating the firmware but that did not resolve the problem.
I double checked the email shortcut settings.
I checked the smtp settings and emails server settings.
OK, I Have been through just about the entire settings menu and cannot find anything that helps. I googled the problem but couldn't find a viable solution.
Any help or thoughts would be very much appreciated.

My printer (which is a couple of years old) has just come up with "122.02 Service Fuser Error".
I am a hands on guy and can easily dismantle and rebuild. Any suggestions as to what the problem is? Does it mean that I will have to buy a new 'Fuser' and is it easy to fit?

Lexmark C540 900 Firmware error
Hi guys,
I had a firmware update go bad on a Lexmark C540 printer. The printer starts up with "900 Firmware Error"
Any idea if there is a low level firmware restore mode on this model (where you hold down a key while powering on) where I can reload the firmware? What are my options?
Right now, the computer doesn't see any device when connecting the printer via USB.
Any suggestions or does this involve me sending the printer into Lexmark which Id very much like to avoid. :-(

this printer keeps on feeding and unfeeding the paper, which is very annoying for the end users sitting next to the printer.

122.03 Service Fuser Error - Is it time to replace?
I am getting the above error on a Lexmark C544dn with fewer than 1000 pages printed and since it is out of warranty I am thinking that replacing the fuser will fix the issue.
Has anyone encountered this before and has a new fuser fixed it or is there something else I can try.

Query AD user info with my MX711
We got a fancy MX711 to replace an ancient Canon photocopier.
I'd like to 'depreciate' faxing as much as possible, but the obvious barrier is no one really wants to type email addresses over and over on a touch screen.
I think the printer should be able to query AD for email addresses and fax numbers, but can't find the right docs to tell me how. Anyone done this can point me in the right direction?
Knocking while printing.
We got 4 used Lexmark T652dn. Not a bad printer, but sometimes while printing it makes a knock noise. I don't really know what it is. We already heard it on 2 printers...
